The Craufurd Arms
The Craufurd Arms, a live music venue in Wolverton, Milton Keynes, occupies a building constructed in 1905 that opened as a pub in 1907. Re-established in 2008, it is Milton Keynes' only alternative music venue, known for programming a wide spectrum from acoustic folk to heavy death metal. The interior is goth horror-themed with black paint and blacked-out windows designed to resemble stained glass, each memorializing a rock legend, created by local artist Luke MacDonald. The venue hosts 4 to 6 live events weekly, plus comedy, open mic, quiz, jazz, film, and poker nights. It is particularly noted as a haven for rock and metal fans, with these genres often playing in the bar area during concerts, and also hosts underground deep house events. Patrons commend the sound quality, stage lighting, and welcoming atmosphere. The main venue space holds 275, with a separate bar stage capacity of 200.
