Rescue Rooms
Rescue Rooms, opened in 2003 in the former RKO Sports & Media Bar, is a cornerstone of Nottingham’s live music landscape. The venue underwent a full refurbishment in 2011 and now features two performance spaces: a main room with a wraparound balcony and a smaller Red Room. Known for its punchy, clear sound system and intimate energy, it programs a wide range of genres including indie, electronic, hip-hop, and singer-songwriter acts, alongside club nights like the long-running indie disco Pressure and themed pop events. The venue also hosts Acoustic Rooms for grassroots talent and collaborates with neighboring Stealth nightclub for multi-room parties. Its plant-filled terrace and central location on Goldsmith Street make it a welcoming hub for concertgoers. Rescue Rooms maintains a forward-leaning booking policy, balancing rising critical darlings with heritage acts and tribute bands, and is considered one of the city’s premier live music destinations.
