Alexandra Theatre

The Alexandra Theatre, known locally as The Alex, opened in 1901 on John Bright Street and was rebuilt in 1935 with an Art Deco auditorium designed by Roland Satchwell. Spread across three levels, the theatre is one of the largest touring venues in the Midlands, programming West End musicals, drama, opera, comedy, and dance. A major refurbishment completed in 2018 restored the venue to its original Alexandra name.
