You Make Engine began in 2005 with Hannah and Kaleb toying around in a hot East Austin storage unit, attempting to turn Kaleb’s obsession with Out Hud and Poster Children into some original music we could dance to. We knew Brian as a great singer with excellent musical taste from our Karaoke Underground shows, and asked him to join. Jaime has been in Austin bands for years, most recently in Commune Y Que? with Kaleb, and he made us kick ourselves for sticking with the drum machine so long.
