Variation Point

Variation Point is the organic ambient project of James Crosby, a composer and outdoor educator based in Tiny, Ontario, Canada. Drawing from the elemental quietude of his lakeside surroundings, Crosby creates nature-infused ambient soundscapes that evoke stillness, introspection, and deep listening. His music blurs the line between composition and environment, layering soft analog synths, felted piano tones, and field recordings of rustling trees and water gently lapping the shoreline.
