Vaportrail was a 90's shoegaze, post rock band from San Francisco. Their music was heavily influenced by bands like The Red House Painters, My Bloody Valentine, Ride, Swervedriver and Built to Spill. Formed by guitarist Roger Anderson in 1996, other band members included Mike Anderson future/former Shimmer Kids, Mark Dansby(bass), Greg Ziemba(drums), Shane Krauss (drums) and Chris Ruffalo (Guitar). Vaportrail played various shows in and around the SF Bay Area.
