Thrumbolt is one of the alias's of musician/producer Jason w. Smith. Born in rural Canada, Jason moved to the UK with his parents in 1980 and began absorbing an entirely new musical landscape. Jason began writing music with his brother Justin at around age 15 and they recorded some pretty crazy guitar-based stuff together, but Jason always leaned more towards the electronic, synthesiser side of things and pursued experimentation in that direction.
