There are multiple bands named the Young Playthings. 1) A garage rock revival band consisting of Wendi Jones (guitar), Lura Jones (guitar/vocals); Gabe Lowry (bass guitar); Ari Shine (drums). They put out an LP on Dionysus, entitled "Pick up with the Young Playthings" in 2005 on Dionysus. They've been compared to The Seeds, The Shangri-Las and The Pretenders. 2) The Young Playthings originally formed at university in Canterbury in 2003 but the current line-up of Bateman, Jors Truly and Tibor was formed early 2005.
