The Air Castles is an ambient electronic music collaboration between Christian Trautmann and Nathan Rich. Their debut album, Transoceanic, consists of various compositions and demos Trautmann had previously recorded for his Modus Operanic project, but were arranged and produced by Rich as a separate collective release for The Air Castles.
