A new Dutch Quartet founded by Frans Vermeerssen and Robert Jan Vermeulen. Vermeulen, who is well known for his playing in mainstrean jazz groups, had been developing a growing interest in the music of Thelonious Monk and Misha Mengelberg. Vermeerssen has long been a mainstay of the improvised music scene but has always had a strong interest in the lively jazz from the 50's and 60's.
