Originally coming together to form the accessories brand of the same name, "total-art-unit" Suppurate System formed in 1996 in Tokyo, consisting of MIKAEL and RYONAI (BLAM HONEY). They began making music in 1999, stating that they wanted to create art by using not only design, but music and performance as well. They released two cassette EPs in 1999/2000, "Affekt Pendule" and "Feather Disperse". Both tapes came in two versions, "Affekt Pendule" and "Feather Disperse" with A Type and B Type.
