Starving Narcissist is an acoustic bedroom indie project created by 19-year-old Zackary Rucker that pulls influences from emo, folk, punk, and others. It was created in 2023, when Zackary was 16, when the song 'Is This What You Wanted? (Dysania) ' was released. It was released under the 'Starving Narcissist' name, because it didn't fit in under his previous moniker of Novanoir. Soon after, he would release a second single - 'Blacktop Angels' - in July 2023
