Starets

Starets are retro British punk revivalists. In 2008, "The Clash Comes to Town" is their first song released. This song is a musical biography of The Clash, particularly a tribute to Joe Strummer, set in 1979 during the making of London Calling. Starets is a Toronto based solo project, not a band. The songs are written, arranged, produced and performed largely by guitarist and vocalist Law. Although contemporary recording techniques are used by Starets, their recordings aim for a pre-1980 period retro punk soundworld.
