A mass brass band founded in 1976, formed of about twenty musicians from Frankfurt. At the core of this formation were Heiner Goebbels and Alfred Harth. The collective had, arguably, a dogmatic left-wing character but played European folk music with a lot of respect for tradition, with brio, free jazz verve and German fidelity.
