Residence, a.k.a James Darracott was born in Doncaster, UK in 1987. He had been into electronic music, in particular dance from an early age. At 12 years old, he opened the door to the world of music production. From day one, everything regarding music production has been self-taught. He did, however, take electronic organ and keyboard lessons for a period of time, and was taught by Helen McNulty, Doncaster, UK. Since then, he has been down a variety of different paths.
