Peyton James is an American recording artist from Ludlow, Kentucky, who relocated to Monterey, California in 2021. In July of 2019, James released his debut single Haunted, with plans to release an album that same year or in 2020 after graduating high school. When the pandemic started, James' life plans changed a bit and he decided to enlist in the United States Armed Forces in October of 2022, and around a year and a half later, released the lead single of his debut album Coping Mechanisms
