Noisepie formed in San Diego, California, USA in 1995. They were popular in the San Diego area, and beginning in 1999, gained a wide audience on the original MP3.com with about 300,000 downloads by the time the site closed down. By 2005 the band had stopped performing citing geographical, family, and job issues.
