He studied electronic engineering at a university in Tokyo, where he was introduced to and eventually influenced by the sounds of YMO, Kraftwerk, Ken Ishii, Chicago House & Detroit Techno. It was also during this time that he discovered Tokyo’s eclectic and vibrant club scene.
