Matthew McDonough (Born 1969.) is the drummer for American alternative nu-metal band Mudvayne. McDonough is the band's original drummer and has appeared and performed on every release by Mudvayne. He is one of the most respected drummers in the world of metal music. He is also the one known for dubbing Mudvayne as "math metal". It is widely considered that Matt McDonough and Ryan Martinie together present one of the best rhytm sections in metal, with Ryan's unique playing style and very complex basslines, and his signature drumming.
