Born out of a binary perception that percussion can be a creative hindrance, Massa Circles have traversed their ethos to become a jewel in the crown of a fledgling ambient, hardware-based South Wales scene. A mutual love of pure melody especially within a noise context, fascination with electronic hardware, plus influences such as Autechre, Can, Sunn O))), Neu, Steve Reich, Philip Glass and the pioneering Warp Records back catalogue, allowed the outfit to neatly mould their niche.
