Martin Heidegger

Martin Heidegger (1889 - 1976) was a German philosopher. He is widely regarded as one of the most influential thinkers of the 20th century. Especially his book Sein und Zeit (Being and Time, 1927) is very well known and is considered to be the most important philosophical work of our time. His philosophy as a whole revolves around the 'question of being'. His work includes reflections on the history of philosophy, metaphysics, truth, art, language, technology, nihilism, dwelling and poetry.
