The Marques Brothers are truly unique, as they present authentic performances of two exciting and popular musical styles. Their music in based on the deep Chicago Blues of the 1950s and pays homage to the masters, in particular to Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf, but just as heir audience might think they are being lulled into nostalgia for the roots of rock, the band will switch to Roots Reggae, as exemplified by Toots and the Maytalls, instantly carrying their listeners to other places.
