Mac Gayden (born McGavock Dickinson Gayden on 5 June 1941; died 16 April 2025) was an American rock and country singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer remembered for co-writing the song "Everlasting Love", a Top 20 US Billboard hit in 1967 for Robert Knight and a number one UK hit when covered by Love Affair in January 1968. Nashville native Gayden got many gigs as a studio musician appearing on albums by Bob Dylan and J.J. Cale (among others).
