At the age of 10 Laura Healy was told by her schoolteacher to stop singing so loudly in the choir as she was drowning out the other children in the class. Not something most children would recover from! Laura, however, kept on singing, convinced her voice was worth listening to. Drawn simultaneously to the romanticised lyrics of folk music, the effects of a chilling rock guitar solo, and the rawness of americana music, she gathered ideas and began writing poems and songs
