Lana Gordon came to New York City and studied dance at the Alvin Ailey School with a scholarship. Later, she was asked to join the repertory ensemble directed by Sylvia Walters. Lana was with the company for 3 1/2 years, before she joined the ensemble of Donald Bird The/Group. In the summer of 1994 she was working as a soloist for 3 month in japan. In the same year, she played Dionne on the european tour of the Musical Hair, directed by James Rado.
