Jules Bitter, born in Goes in 1954, is one of the many musicians in the Irish folkscene of Holland and Belgium. His travels to Ireland since the eighties inspired him to develope his own style of playing the whistle and the Irish flute. In 1993 he started “Finglas” (Gaelic: "fionn glaise" = clear stream) with Bernard Willemse (harp) and his brother Rob Bitter (keyboard, vocals, bodhran). In 1997 they released “Water(E)Motion” , a succesful audiotape with Celtic music, including some of his first compositions.
