Joni Mustaf is the alter-ego of the multi-disciplinary artist from Ipoh, Malaysia; Mohd Jayzuan. The process of preparing ‘langlang’ took a short time. The first draft of the song was written on 1 October 2024 followed by the first rehearsal in the studio on 31 October 2024 until the last one on 15 January 2025. In between rehearsal sessions, other songs were created and developed. From 21 to 23 January 2025, the recording was carried out at the Nagarakota studio in Lumut.
