Jacob Hintze (Composer) Born: September 4, 1622 - Bernau, near Berlin, Germany Died: May 5, 1702 - Berlin, Germany The German composer, Jacob [Jakob] Hintze, became in 1666 court musician to the Elector of Brandenburg at Berlin; but he retired to his birthplace in 1695, and died at Berlin with the reputation of being an excellent contrapuntist.
