Herbert Payne

Herbert Payne was a first world war singer who recorded both as a solo artist, and in ensembles including the first recording of Gilbert & Sullivan's HMS Pinafore. He also recorded under his real name, Ernest Pike - the alias Herbert Payne was used for lighter works.
