Handspan

Handspan is Rob Colling, a British musician, composer, sound engineer and producer based in Joensuu, Finland. He began learning piano at the age of eight, sax at 11 and bass guitar at 16, and he formed his first band at school in Middlesbrough in 1989. Since then he has played everywhere from session studios to large festivals, from the grottiest of pubs to the Sage Gateshead. He composed the score for the 2009 Thinking Digital conference, his sound art has been exhibited at the Tyneside Cinema in Newcastle
