Giulio Cesare Arresti (Bologna , February 19, 1619 - July 17, 1701) was an Italian musician . He studied with Ottavio Vernizzi . He was organist of the church of San Petronio in Bologna from 1649 to 1661, and again from 1671 to 1696. He was also choirmaster of the church of San Salvatore in 1668 and 1680 and in the Cappella del Rosario in San Domenico. Member of the Accademia dei Filomusi, he was one of the founders of the Accademia Filarmonica , of which he was prince in the years 1671, 1686 and 1694.
