Giovanni Battista Gervasio

Giovanni Battista Gervasio (c. 1725–c. 1785) was a touring Neapolitan composer and mandolin virtuoso. His only appearance at a concert spirituel was not until 24 December 1784, when he played a mandoline concerto of his own composition. He published his Methode facile pour apprendre a quatre cordes, instrument pour les dames (Paris, 1767), performed in London in 1768 and in Frankfurt.
