Geomungo Factory

Building a New Traditional Sound Combining musical carpentry, performance art and some clever world music/fusion arrangements, Geomungo-Factory embodies the spirit of adventure and innovation found in many of today’s young Kugak performers. The Geomungo is a six-string zither, played with a bamboo dowel called a suldae. Once thought to be a local adaptation of the Chinese Guqin, recent archeological evidence, have conclusively established the Geomungo's Korean pedigree as far back as the 4th century.
