NY morning radio DJ Franco James Thunder started his solo career after failed stints with band like boychest, dagoth ur, brown butt ring, the shirtless asians and an extremely brief time with the Modern Lovers as backup drummer. After meeting John Peel in London, he decided to leave the DJ business claiming, "Fucks like Peel make me want to shit lettuce and tell everyone its salad". Peel and Thunder haven't spoken since but sources say Thunder was at his funeral.
