Faux Hoax (pronounced "Folks") consists of Dave Allen (Gang of Four), Danny Seim (Menomena/Lackthereof), John Askew (Tracker), They formed in 2007 as a recording experiment. All living and working on various musical projects in Portland, Oregon, the three set out to record an album of basement studio collaborations while calling on the vocal/lyrical assistance of Joe Haege (31 Knots and Tu Fawning) and writer/songwriter Adam Gnade of Asthmatic Kitty.
