Empire Signal are the sound of forgotten pleasures, perfect memories. Only a few recordings are available but already the Manchester music press has labelled them with comparisons to Doves, James and U2. In a period when garage rock dominates the indie scene Empire Signal buck the trend and stand out like a beacon for doing so, a complete dedication to their art, no cut corners here. The guitar hooks are subtle but beautiful, the vocals at once both forlorn and hopeful.
