Émile Sauret (May 22, 1852, Dun-le-Roi, France – February 12, 1920, London) was a French violinist and composer. Sauret wrote over 100 violin pieces, including a famous cadenza for the first movement of Niccolò Paganini's First Violin Concerto and the "Gradus ad Parnassum" (1894). He began European tours at the age of eight. Sauret made his American debut in 1872. Liszt performed sonatas with him. In 1873, Sauret married Teresa Carreño (1853-1917), the Venezuelan pianist and composer.
