After having played together for several years in a variety of local bands (Macbeth, Skydancer, Candles to Holy Sisters, The Bleach), Estonia's Big Whisky members Rob and Andreas decided to leave for the UK in 2000. Doing their band name justice, the funds for their trip - raised through the sale of their equipment - ended up being invested in different varieties of alcohol for an almighty farewell party. Not long after their arrival in the UK they stumbled across local drummer Gavin who shared a similar taste in music.
