David Schedlich

David Schedlich (born 1607 in St. Joachimsthal; died November 11, 1687 in Nuremberg) was a German composer and organist. David Schedlich was born in 1607 as the son of the St. Joachimthal hospital master and later mayor Andreas Schedlich. His brother Jacob (1591–1669) was a student of Hans Leo Hassler, a well-known master organ builder and mayor of his hometown for 36 years. By marrying Johann Staden's daughter Magdalena in 1631, Schedlich was accepted into one of the most well-known Nuremberg families of musicians.
