Danish born Connie Kis migrated with her family to Australia when she was only two years old. She began learning the banjo-mandolin at the age of eight and by the time Connie Kis was eleven, she was performing at local town hall concerts including a guest spot with Australian Country Music legend, Slim Dusty. After gaining a degree in both Economics and Psychology from the University of NSW and working in Sydney in the field of Special Education, Connie Kis re-located to live in Perth, Western Australia.
