Describing himself as a "nice family man who, in his free time, likes to go to battle with his laptop and a few instruments," Mark Shepherd is the man behind the band cold_elf. From Snowmass Village, Colo., Shepherd uses his G4 laptop and a variety of sounds to create his music. His album Stereo contains the track "Silvertree" and features a combination of collected sounds, instruments, samples and various clicks, beeps, and scratches that meld into peaceful soundscapes.
