Charles Duvelle (Paris, France March 1937 - 30 November 2017) was a French composer, pianist and musicologist most known for his forty years career in traditional music recording. Duvelle founded the Ocora label, one of the greatest catalogues of traditional music on records, in 1962. After a childhood in Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia, Duvelle studied piano and music at Conservatoire de Paris (now CNSMDP). In 1959, he's hired by Société de radiodiffusion de la France d'outremer (SORAFOM)
