Budspells stem from Aotearoa & Australia. When Kye [vocals & songwriting] first met Ant [beats & production], it was at a shabee/dub dancehall party in Sydney in '02. Their likeminded taste in music & their common NZ upbringing created an immediate bond. They conceived a project that would incorporate their love of soul, dub & hip hop hybrids ~ Budspells. During '05 Budspells caught the attention of Salmonella Dub's Andrew Penman & thus, joined the Dub Conspiracy tour in April
