Beck Goldsmith

She is a refreshing example of home-grown singer songwriter talent, having grown up in rural Nottinghamshire. Too many of the best female artists in this field are from across the pond, and the English accent and lyrical references to British life make a sweet change. Additionally, she releases her recordings independently, on her own label, which is incredibly admirable. The melodies are often strong and infectious, the instruments are tasteful, and the lyrics are heartfelt and honest.
