Because Eyes Were Closed was one of the first screamo bands from Rīga, Latvia. In 2004, they released a split record with the band To The Limit. The original lineup: Miķelis Folkmanis - vocals; Mārtiņš Ķeņģis - guitar; Edgars Karlsons - guitar; Laura Liekniņa - bass guitar; Oskars Zariņš - drums.
