Bageshree

Bageshree Vaze grew up in St. John's, Newfoundland, where she studied Indian classical music from her father and from teachers in India, but at the same time, learned to love western pop, dance and electronica all which also inspired her to develop her own unique musical vision. Combining the beauty of classical Indian dance and music with Western instrumentation and aesthetics, her work is a reflection of her Indo-Canadian upbringing, and a homage to both her traditions as well as to the confluence of cultures in a new world.
