Founded in Boulder, Colorado in 2009 by Tom Blind, Julian Farrior, and Dale Thoms, this game studio was best known for their many chart-topping mobile games– including DragonVale and its various spin-offs. In late 2019, Backflip was shut down by its parent company Hasbro. All but merely two of its games were discontinued and removed from the App Store; one of these two being DragonVale, which was picked up by the studio DECA Games– who continue to run the game to this day.
