It all began as a passion to create heavy yet melodic music, infused with an undying drive to express oneself through song. Tales of love, destruction, and raw emotion are told within. In the summer of '03 Eric Rushing, owner of 720 Records, agreed to work with the band and release the debut EP; "Memories Mascara." After the release Athena has been fortunate and have had the honor to share the stage with great local and national acts such as Avenged Sevenfold
