Areski was French singer, multi-instrumentalist, comedian and composer Areski Belkacem (born in Versailles on 23 January 1940; died on 1 June 2026). Belkacem recorded an album with Higelin in 1969. He recorded his first solo album, Un Beau Matin, in 1970. He recorded several albums with Brigitte Fontaine.
