Ansis

Ansis (born Ansis Kolmanis, May 8, 1987) is a multi-award-winning Latvian hip-hop artist, producer, and sound engineer. Growing up in the decaying post-Soviet resort town of Ķemeri, Jūrmala, Latvia, he developed a distinct artistic perspective influenced by the crumbling architecture and quiet surroundings of his youth. He was raised in a creative family; his mother, Ieva Kolmane, is a translator and literary critic, while his father is a jeweler.
